01

Separate the scopes

A sauna project can involve a cabin supplier, a delivery carrier, a base contractor, an installer and an electrician. One proposal does not automatically include all of them. Before ordering, ask who is responsible for each task and who coordinates the sequence. Put that understanding in writing, including the condition in which the site must be ready and the point at which responsibility passes between parties.

02

Prepare a suitable base

The supporting surface needs to suit the actual structure, weight, drainage and local conditions. An existing deck should not be assumed suitable because it appears level. Have the proposed solution assessed by an appropriate professional. Record the finished dimensions, levels and access around the cabin before construction begins. The equipment instructions and the final plans should guide the work.

03

Arrange the electrical work

An electric sauna needs a supply designed for the selected equipment and location. Have a qualified electrical contractor assess the proposed installation, the existing panel and any additional work. Follow the manufacturer’s requirements and the rules that apply locally. This website does not size circuits, specify wiring or authorise remote operation. Those decisions require the actual appliance documentation and professional assessment.

04

Agree on completion

Before the installation date, confirm access, unloading arrangements and the people who need to be present. After the work, check the cabin, door, glazing and accessories against the agreed scope. Obtain the relevant operating instructions and understand how to isolate the equipment. Record any outstanding items in writing. Keep the proposal, invoices and product documentation together so that future maintenance and any service question start from the same information.
